The town had only local significance until the discovery of vast oil reserves in the area in the late 1950s and early 1960s. In 1971 the city was made the federal capital of the newly formed United Arab Emirates.
Art Deco lighting in the 1920s and 1930s were dramatic, elegant and futuristic looking. which were made out from steel, chrome or polished bronze. What i like about art deco lamps are they give a elegant look and can be used as a nice decorative piece.
